Quality Assurance
The SHOCK-TEK® Technology incorporated in Ringers gloves was developed and patented in 1996 by internationally renowned neurologist and expert in the diagnosis and treatment of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Dr A Robert Spitzer M.D.
Ringers Gloves are the official gloves of the American NHRA, the National Hot Rod Association, and are highly regarded in Sports, Emergency Services, Law Enforcement, Military, Industrial Safety, and many other fields.
Shock-Tek® gloves are also suitable for use with vibrating construction tools, which gives a good indication of their very robust capabilities. Nevertheless, Shock-Tek® gloves are beautifully made. They are the best gel cycle gloves that we are aware of, worldwide.
Protection From Shock, Vibration and Pressure
Cyclists have the possibility of hand and finger numbness, pain, and Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS) due to time spent under pressure in one position, together with shock and vibration from the road or terrain.
In Ringers Shock-Tek® gloves, generous 5mm gel protective padding cushions the area around the Carpal Tunnel. The cut-out area (indicated by the lower arrow and in the blue additional image, selectable above) gives the Carpal Tunnel room to fully function under external pressure. 5mm gel protective padding also cushions critical areas of the palm and finger joints (indicated by upper arrows in the purple additional image).
Please see the product packaging for the extent of the protection offered, and how to care for your gloves. In addition to using anti-vibration, shock absorbing gloves, keeping a slight bend in the elbows, varying hand positions, and using a light grip on the bars, if and when possible, can also help avoid hand and finger numbness, and Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.
Ringers Shock-Tek Glove Sizes
Please obtain your hand circumference (cm) by measuring all the way round your palm at the knuckles. There is a measuring guide above (click on the thumbnail image), and glove size selection is in the grey table, below.
