Hobson Pro-Hub X2
The world's best long distance noseless bicycle seat avoids central pressure, supporting the rider naturally on the sit-bones. The dual seat pad design protects sensitive body parts in the groin, and eliminates the most common causes of soreness, numbness, chafing and bike saddle pain experienced by cyclists, including pain in the coccyx (tail bone), and prostrate irritation. When it comes down to comfort, placing the rider's body weight on the sit-bones is key.
The Pro-Hub X2 is the highest performance Hobson Seat, suitable for most types of riding, including commuting, long distance touring, and off-road. Lateral stability and bike control are similar to a conventional bike saddle. These are not features of other noseless seats. Pro-Hub X2 is the most versatile model in Hobson's range, and provides the best comfort combined with the possibility of a high seat position or if the body leans forward in a semi-racing position.
NOTE: Pro-Hub X2 does NOT exert pressure on nerves and arteries, even though it has a horn to aid stability.

Fitting & Suitability
The unique Hobson Pro-Hub X2 equally suits men and women, and can be fitted to any bike with a level or raised hand position, including road bikes, mountain bikes, hybrids, and folding bikes.fake watches uk
Dropped racing bars may be used if the hands are in the upper position most of the time.
For comfort, the width of the seat can easily be adjusted by up to 3cm with a single dial which synchronously moves the seatpads in or out.
Seat angle and position are adjusted on any seat post in the same way as conventional saddles. Occasionally it is necessary to convert to the standard 2-rail system by replacement of the seat clamp, which is a low cost item, available here - Seat Clamps
NOTE: It will be necessary to lower the seatpost by up to 35mm to obtain the same seating height, due to the construction of the Pro-Hub X2. Please check that you have this adjustment available on your bike.
Seat Pad Construction
The dual seatpads have a generous gel and hi-density foam padding, and weatherproof nu-leather covers. The seatpad tips are very flexible. Seatpads are supported by elastomers, allowing independently controlled tilts (approx. 7o) with each downstroke for improved ergonomics and reduced friction.
The use of adjustable double seatpads is a significant innovation beyond "split bike seats".
The base is manufactured in strong, lightweight reinforced polymer. Stainless steel support rails allow conventional 2-rail attachment to any seat post

Many people suffer discomfort or pain from ‘normal’ bicycle saddles, even ones with cut-outs or gel pads. Hobson Seats are specifically designed to avoid pressure on the perineum (groin), as explained in detail in "Features". The horn or nose of conventional saddles can constrict the penile arteries and cause pain due to the resulting local high blood pressure in the arteries, while other areas suffer from low blood supply and numbness. Hobson Seats can also relieve pain in the coccyx or tailbone (coccydynia), and the prostate area, which can be sensitive after an operation.
The potential outcome of riding on traditional bike seats can be summarised as reduced circulation in the penile area, damage to arteries and nerves in the Alcock's Canals (also known as Pudendal Canals), leading to conditions such as Bicycle Seat Neuropathy, Alcock's Canal Syndrome, Pudendal Neuralgia, Pelvic Pain Syndrome, and Erectile Dysfunction.
Changing to a Hobson Seat
Hobson Seats employ a beneficial rider support system - via the sit bones rather than the crotch. This can take a little time to get used to. The tissues around the sit bones may need to adjust until the final comfortable state is achieved, as mentioned in the instructions supplied.
Hobson's recommended rider weight is up to 136Kg (300lbs). If you wish to use the seat with a rider weight above this, please contact Bikeco first.
When first riding with your new seat, it is a good idea to take any tools needed to adjust the sear angle, forward-back position, and height so that the optimum fitting can be achieved.
